| Entry | Left Bivouac at 6a.m and caught up Brigade at about 8a.m. The march was continued throughout the day in great heat and dust the battalion covering a distance of 20 miles. During the march evidence of the enemy's rapid retirement was seen on all sides, equipment, stores etc being left about and 5 guns were observed abandoned. |
