| Entry | Battn left river picquet at noon to rejoin 40th Bde which had previously crossed the Tigris. The Battn was delayed at the Bridge owing to huge amount of traffic, but succeeded in getting across during afternoon marching on for about 5 miles and bivouacing for the night at 6p.m. This was the first stage of the memorable march from KUT to BAGHDAD. |
