Entry 10.00. Enemy opened a heavy barrage on an behind our line and attacked under cover of flame projectors. The attack consisted of two strong parties, the Northern Party worked down reserve switch and attacked D Coy at the junction between D Coy and Div on our left. The Southern Party worked along CAVALRY SUPPORT and attacked C Coy at the junction between C Coy and Battn on our right. The two left posts of D Coy were forced to withdraw, but a counter attack was at once organized and original line restored. The Southern Party was driven off without difficulty. Casualties: Killed Officers Nil. O R 3. Wounded Officer 2nd Lieut R H Hamlett, 2nd Lieut A E Thompson (at duty). ORs 22. Missing Officers Nil. Ors 1. Captures Personnel Prisoners 10.
