1st Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - A black and white photograph of Lieutenant Colonel E.F. Eagar. He joined the 1st Battalion in 1910, later being transferred to the 2nd Battalion in India. He fought with the 1st Battalion when he was commanding the leading company at the time they attacked Fosse 8 in the Battle of Loos. He was severely wounded but survived the war. He died in 1958.
