49th Regiment - A sepia photograph of the officers with the Colours in Gibraltar in 1881. The Regiment arrived in Gibraltar on the 13th March 1881 and the following July changed its title to the 1st (Princess of Charlotte of Wales?s) Berkshire Regiment. We believe this photograph was taken to commemorate the changeover in title.
