Wiltshire Regiment - One of nine picture postcards from the effects of Private W W Bridgewater; this one was not sent but had the words "Somewhere in France March 1916 Fondest Love to my dear one Will" On the front , instead of a normal picture, is embroidery and A.O.C., the initials for Army Ordonance Corps; it is dated 1916. It wold appear that Private Bridgewater was in France in the AOC in early 1916 and then transferred to the 5th Battalion, Wiltshire Regiment and fought with them in Mesopotamia

1st Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - A black and white copy of an image from a Reading Newspaper in 1915. It states that it is a unique picture of the 1st Battalion at the front but it appears to be more of a drawing. The caption reads. "A 1st Berks fortified house on a trench. Reading from Left to Right) Corporal Jarvis, Private Burls (Wounded), Captain Gordon Belcher (Berks country cricketer), (Killed) Corporal Nelhams (Wounded), Private Bridgeman (Missing)." Captain Belcher was 3rd Battalion attached to the 1st Battalion and was in 'B' Company. He was killed in action between the 15th and 17th May 1915. He is buried in the Rue-Des-Berceaux Military Cemetery, Richebourg-LÃ?Â?Avoue.
