The Museum holds the collection and archives relating to the Infantry Regiments of Berkshire and Wiltshire from 1748 to the current regiment, The Rifles.  On display are some 2,000 items with the majority of the balance of the 34,000+ items being available to view via this web-site.

The Regiment acquired the Wardrobe in 1979 and spent the next two year restoring the building and adapting the ground floor to accommodate the Museum.   The Collections of the Royal Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiments were re-located to the Wardrobe to form the basis of the Museum's Collection.

Tony Field New Trust Manager

Tony Field has taken up the post of Trust Manager, overseeing the museum operation and to act as secretary to the Charitable Trust that underpins it.  He previously worked for a US company that provided simulation services to the British and Italian armies.  Before that he served in the Royal Artillary for 20 years.  Tony is also Trustee and Honorary Treasurer for a charitable Trust based in Warminster. (14th January 2019)
