2nd Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A hard backed photograph album consisting of 55 pages with sepia images from the battalion from 1893 in Burma to 1895. The album was complied by Captain W. S. Brown. He joined the battalion in 1892 in India, served throughout the Boer War and was killed in action in 1916 whilst in command of the battalion. The battalion were based in Burma from 1893 to 1895  then later to  Guernsey  1896 to  1899. [Note - On the  10th November 1893, Battalion embarked on RIMS 'Clive' and sailed for Rangoon from Calcutta  (strength 18 Officers, four ladies, six children; 136 Non Commissioned Officers, 563 men, 18 women and 19 children), arriving there and disembarking on 14 November]

[There is a wider Regimental interest in this area as later in the 2nd World War the 2nd Battalion Royal Berkshire Regimenty fought the Japanese in this location]
