They are a booklet (which mentions R J Collins), a cutting from The Times containing a letter written by Herr Dr A A Weber and a letter written to him by Mrs A A Grantham, the daughter of Major General R J Collins. View Item2nd Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - A set of four letters. One is dated 30th September 1899 and is written to Captain Finch, the sender is unknown. The letter is concerned with the organisation of a meeting with the Colonel. The second letter is dated 27th January 1900 and is written by Annie Barnett (a School mistress) it is concerned with her pupils raising money to buy comforts for the troops. The third is dated 29th January 1900 and is again concerned with comforts for the troops, it asks that the recipients of the gifts be known. The fourth is dated 4th August 1985 and is from Colonel H Finch, it gives information about a number of items donated to the museum and a recent trip to South Africa.

One is dated Saturday, 2nd February 1901 and from the Cathedral Church of Saint Michael and Saint George in Grahamstown. The other (also dated 2nd February 1901) is from the Parish Church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity, King William's Town. Also included are five hymn sheets. One is dated 1899.

View ItemVolunteers, Berkshire Regiment - The Will for Iltid Evans Witherington. The Will mentions family members and friends to whom I E Witherington will leave his estate when he dies, it also appoints trustees to guard over his estate. The Will is dated the 2nd of December 1910. I E Witherington will donate the Snider rifle with which he won the Alexandra Prize in 1876 at Wimbledon to the National Rifle Association Museum, along with the three Star Badge that he won in 1864 as the best shot in the Berkshire Battalion of Volunteers with its frame, to the English Rifle Club at Bisley Camp with the instructions for it to be hung in their Club House .
