He was the son of Henry and Emily Gibbs; husband of Nellie Gillett (formerly Gibbs), of Rebel Cottages, Bushton, Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval memorial to the missing. He originally enlisted into the militia in 1906 (Army number 8042)

4th Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A black and white digital image of Corporal 5573080 Leslie Halliday. He died on the 5th August 1944. He was the son of Harry and Ethel Halliday; husband of Ruby Evelyn Halliday, of Lee, London. He is buried in Tilly-Sur-Seulles War Cemetery, France.
