1st Bn, Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment - An Aid Memoire published by the MT Wing APC Division (APC FV 432) Vehicle Commanders copy. This unit was based at Bordon in Hampshire and trained 432 vehicle commanders and those that had to return to their unit as instructors. This was used by Lieutenant D. Stone in the late 1960s when the battalion was based in Clifton Barracks, Minden, West Germany. (By the end of their posting at this location 1 DERR were considered to be one of the best mechanised units in BAOR).

It related to the doctrinal lessons learned on Operation Granby known as the Gulf War. This document was distributed to the Commanding Officers of the battalions that formed part of 24 Air Mobile Brigade. It covers all the lesson learned during this operations.

Sennelager was a location very familiar to the Battalion who used it extensively from 1965 to 1969 when based in Minden , West Germany).
