SBYRW : 530221/4th Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A black and white photograph of Doctor G.H.H. Waylen, Medical officer to Devizes Borough and rural councils, and a former Mayor of Devizes who died in 1955. He joined the Army in 1912 and went with the battalion to India in 1914 as their medical officer he served with them in Palestine and Egypt. He retired from the Army in 1934 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
