1st Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A black and white photograph showing those officers of the Battalion who formed part of the 2nd Mounted Infantry at Harrismith, South Africa, 1910 with (left to right) Lieutenants Kirwin and de Crespigny, Captain Timmis, Lieutenants Davis and Seagrave. Lieutenant Seagrave joined the Battalion in 1908 and was later seconded to the West African Frontier Force until 1915. Later during the 1st World War he went to France on the staff and then joined the Royal Flying Corps. After the war he returned to the 2nd Battalion of which he took command in 1935. He died in 1956. Lieutenant Claude Vierville Champion de Crespigny came from a long line of military officers in Essex. He enlisted as a private in the Imperial Yeomanry in 1900, later joining the Wiltshire Regiment where he was commissioned. In 1905-6 he was seconded to the King's African Rifles. He left the Regiment in 1910, joining the 3rd (Militia) Essex Regiment. On the outbreak of the 1st World War he joined the 2nd Battalion Suffolk Regiment, surviving the war and retiring as a Major. After the war he became a game ranger in Tanganyika where he died in 1927.

1st Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A sepia photograph of five officers at Gibraltar, 26th February 1913 whilst en-route from Durban, South Africa to Southampton. This group of officers were to stay at Gibraltar with the 2nd Battalion who were based on the Rock at that time. Soldiers who transferred in this way were called 'The turnovers'. From left to right they are Lieutenant Ponsford, Lieutenant Geddes, Captain Le Hoquet , Captain Carter and Captain Timmis.

1st Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A sepia photograph of officers from both the 1st and 2nd Battalions in Gibraltar, 1913 when both Battalions met for the first time as a County Regiment. When Battalions met like this there was normally a significant amount of cross posting between the Battalions whereby the younger members were posted to the overseas Battalion in this case the 2nd, and the older time expired men joined the Battalion returning to England, in this case the 1st. The officers in this image are named with the Battalion served in at this time. In the rear row from left to right are Lieutenant Macnamara (2nd), Lieutenant Brown (1st), Lieutenant Hill (2nd), Lieutenant Goodhart (1st), Lieutenant Beaven (2nd), Lieutenant Loder-Symonds (1st), Lieutenant Geddes (2nd), Lieutenant Shelford (2nd). Lieutenant Wand-Tetley (1st), Lieutenant Carrington (1st), Lieutenant Rose (1st), Lieutenant Ponsford (2nd) and Lieutenant Morse (1st). Included in this image but exact position not clear are Lieutenant Edward Ladd Betts, [Believed rear row] Captain Humphrey Willis Chetwode Lloyd [Believed rear row], Captain Henry Barron Rose MC [Believed 2nd row from  rear, far left,  Captain W. Martin [Believed 2nd row from rear, 2nd from left] , Captain Hemelin Fitzherbert Coddington [Believed 2nd row from rear, 5th from left], Lieutenant Rodgers, Lieutenant Collins, Lieutenant Boyle, Captain Timmis [Believed 3rd row, 4th left], Lieutenant Fleetwood.
