Wiltshire Regiment - A black and white digital image of the headstone in the English Cemetery at Malaga of Lieutenant Colonel Anthony J Reith who was born in 1908 and died in 1990; he served with the 1st Battalion in 1929 and during the 1930s in Egypt, Singapore and India. At the start of the 2nd World War, he was serving in the 2nd Battalion at Catterick but, as a Major, he was back in the 1st Battalion in India in 1946; it was not known when he was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel or in what role but presumably a Staff one. In 2013 his grave marker was photographed by John Needle of Swindon who passed the result on to Emma Kirkup of VisitWiltshire Ltd - who donated it to the museum
