Only a few of these soldiers have been identified. (stood 3rd left) Private Osbourne, (6th) Private L. Emery, (8th ) Private Mortimer. [At this time the Battalion was a mechanized infantry battalion and as such it required the troops, when in barracks, to spend a lot of time working on the Armoured Personnel carriers, hence the fatigue dress]

Members of 'C' Company who were on exercise at Larzac were taking a few days R & R (Rest and Recreation) prior to resuming training. The storm destroyed all the tents.
