Wiltshire Regiment - A black and white digital photograph of the passing out parade at Le Marchant Barracks in 1957. The inspecting officer is General Coad (Colonel of the Regiment). Centre carrying the sword and with just his head visible is Lieutenant Hugh Canning who had followed his father into the Regiment. Well over half of this parade are Royal Army Pay Corps soldiers who carried out their initial training at the barracks. Private Simons is part of this parade but his position not known. When the Regiment merged with the Royal Berkshire Regiment to form the Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment, he joined the Drums platoon.
