1st Bn, Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment - A black and white photograph of 'B' Company's Anti Tank section in a Canadian jeep with a 106-mm recoiless rifle in Canada on exercise in 1961 with, from left to right, Privates Bowles, Sear, Hatt and L/Corporal Wright. At the time, each rifle company had support weapons such as mortars and anti tank guns attached. This was changed when the Battalion went to West Germany as part of the British Army of the Rhine (BAOR) in 1965 when the Support Company was formed. [The Battalion had the loan of two of these weapons from the Canadian Army while they were in Canada].

It is entitled 'Navvies at Work'. and shows, from left to right, Private Hobson, Private Glazebrook, Private Sturgess, Private Haynes, Corporal O'Connell, Sergeant Vockins, Private Weston, Private Spencer, Private Challis, Private Bowles, Private Holland, Private Whiteing, Private Midwinter. [Later in life Sergeant Vockins became the caretaker of the Drill Hall in Wokingham]
