SBYRW : 379211st Bn, Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment - A digital black and white image of soldiers from 'B' Company in one of the infamous company clubs located in the attic of the barrack blocks in Clifton Barracks, Minden, West Germany. These became known for very heavy drinking sessions which the authorities thought would keep the drinking in house. Normally after or about midnight many of these soldiers (providing they had cash) would go over the camp perimeter wire to enjoy the delights of Minden. [Note – at this time there was a curfew for troops to be in camp by midnight due to the behaviour of a previous Regiment. The curfew was breached every night. The photo shows, from left to right, Privates Precious, Sheridan, Stanley, Jessemey, Harrison, Hodder., L/Corporal Cooke, Thomas and North
