1st Bn, Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment - A black and white photograph of the Battalion rowing team in Malta, 1965. Three of those in this group went on to become Commanding Officers. Left to right standing are Captain Wadham, Captain Jones, Captain Sammons and Captain Mackereth; in the front row from left to right are Captain Vernon-Powell, Lieutenant (QM) Smyth BEM and Lieutenant Alan Kenway. This team was narrowly beaten by the Kings Own Malta Regiment.
