1st Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - One of 53 photographs catalogued from the over 100 contained in a photographic album/journal from the period 1942-1946 compiled by Private S J Day; this black and white photo shows a number of members of the Motor Transport (MT) section of which Private, as he then was, Sidney J Day was a member, soon after they first reached India in 1942 and were stationed at Ahmednagar - in this photo are (left to right back row) Charlie Willcox, E Perrin, S (Nazi) Lines, Bill Hymen, W Cocus, 'Mut' Harris, V Vicar and (front row left to right) 'Bung' House, Fred Hairsine, 'Polly' Moore, Sam Harman, J Hardy, 'Lari' Woods, and, in the shade, Jacko Jackson and Wally Titcombe

4th Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - A black and white photograph of the 'C' Company Tug of War team in 1938 with, standing from left to right, 2nd Lieutenant L.O. Prichard, Private Powell, L/Corporal Chivers, Captain H.P. Verey, L/Corporal Mills, L/Corporal Wallace and Sergeant Wilson (Coach). Kneeling, again from left to right, are Privates Wells, Roberts, House. In the final pull they beat 'D' Company by 2 pulls thus becoming the Battalion champions.
