SBYRW : 270081st Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - A black and white photocopy of a photograph of members of 'C' Company who had 1st World War service. This photograph was taken in India during the 1920s and is named. Captain K P Smith served in the 2nd/4th Battalion during the 1st World War and during the 2nd World War commanded the troops on the Island of Malta during the Siege. During the Normandy Landings he commanded 185 Brigade. He later wrote a book of his Army life called 'Adventures of an Ancient Warrior'. Sergeant 5239164 George Driver was discharged from the regiment in 1931. He origionally joined the 2nd Battalion Worcestershire Regiment on the 12th August, 1914. He also shows up on an honour list of the 2/3rd Battalion Worcestershire Regiment nomimal role in Worcester Cathedral.
