1st Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - Various documents belonging to No. 5566208 Private Harry Edward John Turner who attested at Devizes on 17th February 1925 and was transferred to the Army Reserve on 16th February 1932. They include 3rd and 2nd Class Certificates of Education for him, dated 27th May 1925 and 14th December 1925., a certified copy of his attestation and his Certificate of Service in its original envelope. There are also an Army Form B104-58 regarding a Private Turner's application to join Section D of the Army Reserve, dated January, 1937 and a Christmas menu, dated 31st December 1952 which includes numerous signatures, it belonged to Mr. H. E. J. Turner.

3rd Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A photocopy of the attestation record of Alfred Harding, dated 11th March 1893, aged 17 years and 9 months. There is also a photocopy of the attestation record for John Harding, dated 28th June 1887, aged 21 years and 3 months. As they came from the same village of Woodford could possibly be brothers. View Item1st Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A photocopy of an attestation record of 3221 William Musgrove. He enlisted at Devizes on the 21st June 1892. He later transferred to the 2nd Battalion, serving in South Africa during the Boer War. He was discharged on the 20th June 1904.

View Item62nd Regiment - The attestation record of No. 3767 Private Soloman Slugg. He enlisted at Trowbridge on the 15th January 1855 and served with the Battalion in Malta and the Crimea. He served for 342 days after which he was discharged having been assessed as having a medical disability. His medal is on display in the Medal Room in the Regimental Museum at Salisbury.

He enlisted at Devizes on 27th October 1892 having had previous service in the 3rd Militia Battalion. He served in South Africa during the Boer war and was discharged on the 26th October 1904. He rejoined on the outbreak of the 1st World War joining the 7th Battalion, Royal Dublin Fusiliers. He was killed in action on the 16th August 1915 at Gallipoli

He served in South Africa during the Boer War, being promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 1907; he was discharged in 1908. He rejoined for the 1st World War, being posted to the 8th Battalion. He was renumbered 10397 and was killed in action at the Battle of Loos in 1915.

He gained a commission in the 4th Battalion on the 26th March 1918. He was killed in action on the 9th October 1918 whilst attached to the 7th Battalion, Northamptonshire Regiment.
