Wiltshire Regiment - Gold Coast Regiment - A black and white photograph taken by Captain L H Bearne who was attached to the regiment from 1924 to 1928. This image shows the Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel McDonnell together with his wife cutting the first sod for the New officers mess at Kumasi, Ghana. [ the CO was known as the 'Mad Mullah of Sokotu - although not to his face !]
