2nd Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A pictorial souvenir booklet dated 1924 and published when the battalion was based in Bangalore, India. It was produced to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Regiment [The old 99th formed in 1824]. It consists of 29 black and white images plus a summary of the battalions history up to that date. It also includes images of the officers, sergeants and corporals from both the 1st and 2nd battalions in Gibraltar 1913 when both battalions met whist the 1st battalion was on route to England from South Africa, and visited the 2nd Battalion at that time based in Gibraltar. These images are named and we believe that most if not all would have still been serving, or called up as a recently demobilised reservist the following year in 1914. [Three copies]
