1st Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - A black and white photograph of the wedding of Lieutenant John Ellis to Miss Yvonne Nicholls at St Pauls Church, Nicosia, Cyprus, believed to have taken place in 1958. The best man was Lieutenant Jon Fleming. On the left with a raised sword is Lieutenant Gil Devlin, and, on the right,. Lieutenant John Macmillan. [Miss Nicholls used to run a record shop in Ledra Street, Nicosia and was educated at the French Convent. She also translated for the French Foreign Legion prior to the Suez Operations in 1956]
