Artist Rifles - A sepia photograph of a group of recruits in 1914. It is believed that Private W.S. Shepherd is in this image but his exact location is not known. The Artists Rifles provided officer recruits for many regiments during the 1st World War and Private Shepherd was later commissioned into the Wiltshire Regiment.
