1st Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - One of 53 photographs catalogued from the over 100 contained in a photographic album/journal from the period 1942-1946 compiled by Private S J Day; this black and white photo shows, on the walls of the fort, Sergeant 'Jazz' Wright of the section of men who, in 1943, joined a Divisional party to man the old Mogul fort at Ahmed Nagar where Pandit Nehru, eventually to be Prime Minister of India after Independance in 1947, was imprisoned; this duty followed the Arakan campaign
