This is the fourth in a series of five CD-ROMS, created from the work of volunteers, in conjunction with Archive Britain. Berkshire and the War is a unique record of a county's contribution to the First World War. Compiled between 1915 and 1919 in 39 parts, it includes photographs and articles first published in the Reading Standard, as well as retrospective accounts written especially for this publication. The original series was not indexed. This CD-ROM series is indexed by Name, by unit and by place. Everyone mentioned in the text has been included, whether or not there is an image of them.
