1st Volunteer Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - A large leather bound photograph album presented by Lieutenant Colonel O.P. Serocold in 1902. It contains 13 double sided pages with only 9 being utilized. It contains portrait images of officers who served in the battalion up to and including the 1st World War by which time the battalion had been become the 4th Battalion

1st Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A photograph album, dated 15th September 1899 and given by "Fred" to "Rita"; it contains 37 photos taken in the years prior to and following that date but most of the photos, while interesting, have no military significance. They cover the journey through the Suez Canal to India and various places there including Karachi and Calcutta. The nine photos of military significance are catalogued as Objects 24559 to 24567
1st Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A Pictorial souvenir, in the form of a Photograph Album, of the Battalion, in 1899 and 1900 in Quetta, Baluchistan; on the front cover are the words "62nd Regiment, The Springers" A second copy is held as Object 3947 Each contains 26 photos catalogued as Objects 24568 to 24593 plus two photos already held and therefore not recatalogued

1st Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A hard backed photograph album consisting of 63 double sided pages covering the period from 1901 to 1921. During this period of time they were stationed in India, England, South Africa and Ireland. The album was purchased for the officer?s library on the 3rd August 1909. Each Image has been seperatly listed.
1st Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A hard backed photograph Album covering the regiment?s time from 1902 through to 1936. It consists of Sepia and black and white images of India, England, Egypt, Singapore and Shanghai, China.
2nd Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A photo album put together by Lieutenant Colonel Milsom when he was still an Other Rank, covering, in no chronological order, the years 1920 to 1932 and including photos taken in Dublin, Shanghai, Singapore, Egypt, Hong Kong and India. Fifty-nine of these photos have been catalogued (Objects 22500 to 22547) but a number of those which are of a touristy nature have not though they are still available in the album itself

1st Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A large hard backed photograph album consisting of 102 pages of which 92 have been used. It was presented to the Officers Mess in April 1950 by Lieutenant Colonel N E C Kenrick DSO. It covers the period between 1949 and 1958 and the postings in Germany, England, Hong Kong and Cyprus. [Includes advance party images to Malaya]

99th Regiment - A small photographic album with the words ?Natal Photographs? embossed on the front. It consists of 24 pages (some detached and fragile) containing sepia images, some of the Regiment in Natal, South Africa 1865 - 1868, and others showing local scenes and portraits of Zulu Warriors. The album originally belonged to General Sir John Hart Dunne. He commanded the Regiment from 1865 to 1877. It was presented to the Regiment in 1938 by his son an Ex officer of the Regiment. [We do not know who took these photographs, but we do know an officer of this Regiment had a camera and was taking images as far back as 1860 when the Regiment were on route from India to China]

2nd Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A hard bound photograph album containing 31 double sided pages. It was owned and kept by Lieutenant Colonel A.W. Timmis who served in both regular Battalions. He was captured during the early days of the 1st World War and remained in captivity throughout the war. He resumed Regimental soldiering after the war eventually commanding the 2nd Battalion in Kamptee, India in the 1920s. The album is very much ?horse? orientated as he was a horseman of some note, both as a jockey and as a Polo player. The photos in this album cover South Africa with the Mounted Infantry, India, and China. It contains a total of 82 black and white and sepia photos (Objects 31645 to 31720) of the MI (Mounted Infantry) Company in South Africa in the period 1910 to 1912, of the Battalion in India in 1909, of soldiers, presumably prisoners-of-war, at Krefeld in 1914 and of the Battalion's tours in Hong Kong and India in the period 1919 to 1926; a lot of the original photos are missing as the album would have held well over 120 photos.

1st/4th Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A hard backed photograph album kept by Sergeant (later Captain) Charles Notley. He served mainly in the 4th and 1st/4th Battalions. It consists of 48 pages and contains many sepia photographs either taken by, or of Sergeant Notley. He covers the battalions journey to India and activities whilst based in various stations in that country. In 1915 he was selected for a commission and returned to England for officer training after which he was attached to the 2nd/5th Battalion, North Staffordshire Regiment on the Western Front where he was wounded. Most of the relevant images have been copied and are separately listed. [We have not copied general views of the countryside unless relevant] . At the end of the album there are several images of a nurse called Miss Winifred M B Friend who was honoured in 1916 with the Royal Red Cross, First class. She trained at Salisbury infirmary for three years ending in 1909 and during the war served in Salonika. We believe she is in some way connected to Sergeant C. Notley. [Her images have not been copied but available to view with arrangement with the museum if required]

1st Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A large hard backed photograph album consisting of 89 pages covering both the 1st and 2nd Battalions postings in Ireland, England, Hong Kong, India, Shanghai (China), Palestine and Germany. It covers the years from 1910 to 1948. In addition there are several old images covering the 99th Regiment in China, 1860 and South Africa 1868.

2nd Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A homemade photo album, entitled on the front "Krefeld March-August 1948" but also including photos of the parade to celebrate the wedding of Princess Elizabeth on November 1947; it was created by Lieutenant Colonel Coad who was commanding the Battalion at the time.
1st Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - A soft backed photograph album consisting of 17 double sided page of the battalion in Jerusalem, Palestine 1935 ? 1936. The images relate to the ceremonial duties carried out by the battalion during the Jubilee celebrations
2nd Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A photo album containing various photos of the Battalion in Palestine in 1936-37; it contains a number of interesting photos that would re-produce very well. The album has a hand-written inscription - 'Frederick James Lawrence, 2nd Bn. The Wiltshire Regt. Palestine. Snapshots taken whilst in Palestine 1936 - 37' and includes a group photo with a sporting trophy.
