He served with the 3rd (Militia) Battalion on the island of St Helena during the Boer War. He took command of the 1st Battalion in 1910 in South Africa bringing the Battalion home in 1913. He died in 1914.

He served with the 3rd (Militia) Battalion on the island of St Helena during the Boer War. He took command of the 1st Battalion in 1910 in South Africa bringing the Battalion home in 1913. He died in 1914.
