1st/th Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A green hard backed photograph album consisting of 12 hard backed double sided pages. The sepia images inside were taken by Lieutenant G E Tucker. Most of the early images relate to his school days (including OTC) and have not been copied. The remainder relate to his service in india during the 1st World War. Lieutenant Tucker was a Pre War Cambridge Organ Scholar. As a result he was involved in the formation and running of the Battalion band,. He was also involved in the running of the Battalion concert party ?The Moonrakers? and, when in Egypt, the main Egyptian Expeditionary Force Concert Party. He at some point was also the Battalion Transport Officer which led him after the war to run his own transport business. This failed so he financed his ordination training as a school teacher in Surrey, moving back to India and becoming successively an Army Chaplin to the Metropolitan and Archdeacon of Calcutta. He died in 1983.
