1st Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A sepia photograph of Lieutenant Hugh James Segrave who joined the Regiment in 1908, serving with the Battalion before being seconded to the West African Frontier Force in 1913. He served with the Battalion in France and, in 1916, was seconded to the Royal Flying Corps. After the war he served with the Air Ministry for three years later commanding the Regimental Depot in 1930. He commanded the 1st Battalion in Singapore and India from 1935 to 1939. After retirement he became a Kings Messenger. He died in 1956.
