2nd Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - A black and white photo of theconsecration of the recently erected headstone, at a cemetery in Dover in 1995, on the grave of L/Corporal House who won the Victoria Cross during the Boer War; despite the fact that he had a full military funeral when he died in 1910, no headstone was erected then as, suffering badly from the pain of the wounds he had received some 8 years previously when he won the VC, he had committed suicide. 99th Regiment - A black and white photo of the graveyard at Eshowe, the last resting place for the 31 soldiers who died during the siege, which lasted from 24 January to 3 April 1879. In addition to Lieutenant Davison, the following soldiers of the 99th Foot were also buried here: ? Privates Shields and Paul (dysentery); Lewis, Roden, Swann and Venn (enteric fever); Coombes (typhoid fever); Tubb (sunstroke); Knee (drowned) and Kent (killed by Zulus).
