4th Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A black and white photograph of Major Derek (DIM) Robbins receiving the award of the Military Cross from Field Marshall Montgomery, 24 April 1945. He was commissioned into the Wiltshire Regiment in August 1938. After a short spell with the 1st Battalion in India, he returned home in 1941 to the 5th Battalion and then later transferred to the 4th. He fought throughout the campaign in North West Europe with this Battalion. He was wounded three times and awarded the Military Cross after the action on 'The Island' near Nijmegen. After attending post-war staff college, he served with the 1st Battalion in Hong Kong, Cyprus and the UK. In 1960 he commanded the 4th Battalion. He became a very strong supporter of the Old Comrades Association and the Regimental Museum.

1st Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A black and white photograph showing Wiltshire Regiment members of the 'Hampshire' Battalion after returning from Russia on 6 October 1919. They returned to Crowborough where its members were dispersed to their own Regiments, 'Z' Company rejoining the 1st Battalion, Wiltshire Regiment in Dublin. Before leaving the camp many of the soldiers sat for commemorative photographs. This one shows CSMs Yeats; Robbins; Moss; Waite, MC, DCM; and Bramstt; CQMS Archard, and Sgt Drummer Porter. CSM Waite is seated in the centre row on the right. On his left lower sleeve are three wound stripes. On his left upper arm is the White star which was worn by all units serving in the North Russian Expedition.
