Royal Berkshire Regiment - A colour copy of a photograph of the Pritchard-Greener pistol bayonet. This was invented during the 1st World War by a Royal Berkshire Officer, Captain Arthur Pritchard. He developed the weapon for close quarter fighting in the trenches together with the weapon manufacturers ?Greener? hence the name ?Pritchard Greener?. It is not believed that the weapon saw active service.
