1st Bn, Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment - British Honduras in 1970. A colour photo of Corporal MORTIMER (Rear) seated, and Private Nigel STEVENS resting, in an Indian Village whilst on Patrol. Nigel Stevens was in the Recce Section in the Support Platoon attached to 'B' Company and the photo was taken at Prevassion Creek - Nigel believes that Mitch Mortimer was the Platoon Sergeant at the time.

This is the parade at which the Colours are annually passed over to the keeping of the Sergeants Mess for the day in memory of the way they saved them at the Battle; the practice was always with a blanket tied to a pole rather than using the Colours themselves.
