Royal Berkshire Militia - A sepia portrait photograph of Lieutenant Edmund John Robert Hopkins, of Tidmarsh around 1876. He was born on the 8th April 1856, the eldest son of Robert John Hopkins, of Tidmarsh, by Elizabeth Clara, daughter of the Reverend David Rodney Murray. He was promoted on the 12th May 1875 and resigned on the 18th July 1877. He was educated at Eton and St Johns Collage Oxford.
