5th Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - A black and white copy of a photograph of the cadre of the Battalion outside Reading Railway station on the 18th June 1919. The cadre consisted of four officers and 38 men. They were welcomed outside the station by their first Commanding Officer, Colonel F.W. Foley. This image shows the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Goodland, in front of his men facing Colonel F.W. Foley. Included in the 38 men were 16 of the originals who went out to France in 1915, including Private Harry Harding. After a civic reception at the town hall, the Colours were laid up in St Laurence's Church, Friar Street, Reading where they can be seen to this day.

Wiltshire Volunteers - Officers, senior warrant officers and sergeants on board ship en route to South Africa to join the 2nd Battalion. Standing, left to right, are Sergeant Thomas; Colour Sergeant Yardley; Lieutenant Luce (died of disease); Major Folkestone; Sergeant Harding (died of enteric fever 13 May 1900); Lieutenant Kendle; Sergeant Booker. Sitting, left to right, are Sergeant Gough, Sergeant Elwood (slightly wounded at Slapkrantz July 1900). Lieutenant Luce is remembered on the Malmsbury Memorial which reads "To the glory of God and in memory of Walter Cecil Luce Lieutenant of the Volunteer Service Company of the Wiltshire Regiment. Born November 27th 1873. Died at Springfontein South Africa February 11th 1901."

4th Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - A black and white photograph of the ?Key Parties? for ?C? and ?D? Companies at the drill hall at Maidenhead, 25th August ? 3rd September 1939. These soldiers were the main players for the two companies prior to the formal mobilization order that came on the Declaration of the 2nd World War (11.00 am on Sunday 3rd September 1939). The early work carried out by this group meant that the mobilisation of the 4th Battalion went smoothly. It shows, in the rear row from left to right, Privates Bavan (Orderly), Hopper (Telephone operator), Drake (Clerk), Fisher (Storeman), Townshend (Telephone operator), Weller (Orderly), Fenn (Storeman), Godfrey (Telephone Operator), West (Clerk) and King (Telephone operator). (Seated, fro left to right, are A/CQMS Battridge, CSM (WO2) Jarratt, Sergeant (PSI) Nutt, Lieutenant B.C.D. Eastwick, Major H.P. Verey (OC ?C? Company), Captain W.P. Serocold (OC ?D?
