Royal Berkshire Regiment ? A sepia group photograph of 54 Officers and men serving with a garrison Battalion of the Warwickshire Regiment in Egypt during the 1st World War. All of these soldiers had previous service in the Royal Berkshire Regiment apart from the CO and Adjutant. Taylor.  [NOTE - Sergeant Bloomfield DCM  died on the 22nd May 1927 at Battersea of coal gas poisoning. Bandmaster Dore  had fought at Tofrek in the Sudan, Sergeant Addicot was awarded a DCM in 1918 whilst serving with the British West Indies Regiment in Egypt. Sergeant Farmer became a Sergeant Major in the 5th (Service) Battalion. He was killed in action on the 13th October 1915. Sergeant Lainsbury was recalled in 1914 and became the RSM of the 8th [Service] Battalion winning a DCM]
