1st Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - A black and white photograph showing the officers of the Battalion together with the Colonel of the Regiment, Major General E.T. Dickson on the 12th August, 1914. This photograph was taken in Mandora Barracks, Aldershot, just prior to the Battalion's embarkation for the Western Front on the 13th August 1914. 62nd Regiment - A photocopy of a photograph of the memorial to Major William F. Dickson who was killed in action on the 8th June 1855 at Sebastopol during the Crimean War. The memorial is situated in the Rostherne Church of St Mary?s in Cheshire. Major Dickson was shot in the head, subsequently dying. He was later buried at Cathcarts Hill cemetery.

1st Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - A black and white photograph showing the mobilization of the Battalion which took place between the 4th and the 8th August 1914 at Mandora Barracks, Aldershot. The mobilization was part of a previously practiced exercise and by all accounts went very smoothly. As well as getting the men and kit ready, the Battalion had to absorb a significant number of reservists. This image shows the Colonel of the Regiment, General Dickson, together with the Commanding Officer's daughter, Miss Graham, at Farnborough railway station awaiting the arrival of the Battalion on the 12th August 1914.
