Privates Shields and Paul (dysentery 4th March 1879); Lewis (died 28th March 1879), Roden (died 26th March 1879), Swann and Venn (enteric fever - 17th March 1879); Coombes (typhoid fever 21st March 1879); Tubb (sunstroke 16th March 1879); Knee (drowned 21st February 1879) and Kent (killed by Zulus 17th March 1879).
