Unit unknown or none - Three colour photos of a memorial monument to various servicemen killed in the 2nd World War, presumably all from Northern Rhodesia in Africa, but mainly enlisted into British Regiments, as the monument is on the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls in that country; the names on the monument include Lieutenant Colonel J Carden of the Wiltshire Regiment and Captain H C Gouldsbury of the Royal Berkshire Regiment - the date of the photos is unknown.

Wiltshire Home Guard - A black and white photograph of a Wiltshire Home Guard unit, taken outside the Red Lion Inn, dated October 1942. The location and people in this photograph were not originally named, but following an appeal on the Museum's website the pub was confirmed in August 2009 as the Red Lion, Castle Eaton, licensee Reginald G King, and the unit as the Blunsdon Platoon. The landlady at the time provided the information given here from a copy of the photograph in the pub which named all those present. All rows read from left to right. Top row:- W. Kemble, E. 1st Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - A sepia photograph sent to the Battalion by the officers of the 15th Ludhiana Sikhs on the occasion of the anniversary of the ?Battle of Tofrek?, 22nd March, 1908. [This was the battle fought by the 1st Battalion Berkshire Regiment in the Sudan 1885 alongside the 15th Sikhs] The photograph includes officers from the 15th Sikhs and the 2nd Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment (the old 66th) who at this time were stationed in India. . Sergeant Munday later won the Distinguished Conduct Medal in Palestine in 1917 and Major Armstrong was killed in action whilst in command of the Battalion.

1st /4th Wiltshire Regiment ? A photocopy of a black and white photograph of Sergeant Albert Edward Card. We believe this was taken in Salisbury before the 1st World War and it appears he in in the uniform of the pre-war volunteers. Whilst in India after the outbreak of war he later transferred to the Dorset Regiment together with others from the Battalion to serve in Mesopotamia where he died of wounds on the 30th September 1915.
