Machine Gun Corps - A black and white photograph of Private 11423 W.F. Beckett. He previously served in the Royal Berkshire Regiment and was discharged on the 28th June, 1918 having been gassed. [We believe this soldier fought in the Boer War and during the 1st World War was gassed then discharged from the Army. He died in 1919 and is buried in North Moreton Churchyard together with his wife Violet Beckett.] ? He had previously served in the Royal Berkshire Regiment. [This image may have been taken in July, 1915 ? as written on the rear]
