62nd Regiment - A sepia portrait photograph of Lieutenant Finlay.C. Beatson who.joined in 1873. He bcame the adjutant in 1878. When the 2nd Battalion went to South Africa to take part in the Boer war in 1899 he was the 2nd in command. He served until 1906.

1st Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - A sepia group photograph of the Northern Command Staff at Rawalpindi, India in 1906. Lieutenant Colonel F C Beatson is seated centre) 2nd from the left. The officer seated in the front on the far right is also a Wiltshire Regiment officer, but is unidentified. [Lieutenant Colonel Beatson relinquished command of the 1st Battalion in 1906 being promoted substantive Colonel as Deputy-Adjutant-General in India. In 1910 he became a Brigadier General on the staff, and retired in 1912. He became Colonel of the Regiment from 1924 to 1929.
