Photograph includes Lieutenant Bartley Denniss, who was wounded on the retreat from Mons, later served in the 5th (Service) Battalion Royal Berkshires but died from his injuries in 1918. He is buried in Hillingdon and Uxbridge Cemetery, London. He was the son of Sir Edmund Bartley Denniss, K.C., and Margaret Ellen, his wife, of Belmont, Uxbridge, Middlesex. He had been Mentioned in Dispatches.
