Royal Berkshire Regiment - A Press Release entitled "Grave of Courageous Soldier Marked" compiled on the 15th July 1994 by Chris Lean. The article states that the previously unmarked grave of L/Corporal William House is to have a headstone errected over it. L/Corporal House was a holder of the Victoria Cross for which he was awarded for an act of bravery carried out during the Boer War, on the 2nd of August 1902. L/Corporal House committed suicide in February 1912 which is why his grave was unmarked despite his having had a ceremonial military funeral. Also contained is a photo of L/Corporal House and a reprint from the Dover Times of 1912
