Wiltshire Regiment - Regular Army Certificate of Service in a red cover for Private No. 5563777 Frederick James Young, who enlisted at Devizes on 6th July 1920, was transferred to the Army Reserve on 4th December 1927 and was finally discharged on 5th July 1932.

4th Bn, Wiltshire Regiment - Various documents relating to Private No. 5570827 G. D. Young. They include recommendations regarding awarding Private G. D. Young a Military Medal, dated 1945, a photocopy of an article entitled "Drove through a battle" from the ???ster Journal dated 19th January 1945 (Copyright). The article is regarding an occasion when Private G. D. Young drove in a jeep into a battle between American and German Armies. It happened when he wanted to rejoin his Company holding ground near Arnhem, after returning from Battalion Headquarters where he had delivered rations, and a photocopy of a newspaper article entitled "Drove into battle" from The Times (Copyright), 28th January 1985. This article is regarding the event mentioned above. There are also an English and German version of document awarding the Bronze Cross to Private G. D. Young on 24th April 1946, a notification from Secretary of State for War saying that the name of Private G. D. Young was published in the London Gazette on 9th August 1945 as being Mentioned in Despatches for distinguished service and, finally, a certificate of appreciation awarded by Field Marshal Commander-in-Chief B. L. Montgomery to Private G. D. Young for his outstanding service and great devotion to duty, dated 16th May 1945.
