9th Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment - A large hard backed minute book consisting of 501 pages of which 296 have been utilized. This book was used as a confidential report book for Non Commissioned Officers in the Battalion. They are shown alphabetically with typed and hand written comments added by the appraising officer either recommending the soldier or not as the case maybe. In each case they identify the soldier by name, initial, rank and Army number. The information contained in this book has to date not been extracted but would be a useful research document for anyone making a study of this Battalion's soldiers many of whom ended up in other Battalions and Regiments.
