The Museum whilst partly funded by the MOD, under the present Customer Service Agreement, is largely dependent on generating it own income to look after its extensive collections.   We are fortunate enough to have a band of volunteers who freely give of their time and effort to carry out the conservation of the literally thousands of items in the Collection.  Properly conservation and storing the Collection in conditons that will safeguard these items for many years to come, if done properly is an expensive business for small museum, who do not attract natioanl funding.
