Major Nigel Walker, the Chairman of the Friends invites you to join him and the other Friends in supporting this museum. Since the formation of the Friends they have raised funds to finance several of the major initiatives undertaken by the Museum. Whilst there are inevitably former members of the County Regiments in the Friends, membership also embraces many people of both Berkshire and Wiltshire, who support their county infantry soldiers, past and present.
The benefits of membership include:
- Receipt, free of charge, of 'Redcoats Review', the annual newsletter of the society, together with occasional updates on Redcoats Society and museum events and developments when appropriate.
- Free entry to The Rifles (Berkshire and Wiltshire) Museum and gardens at Salisbury and to Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum at Gloucester.
- Attendance at Redcoats Society activities, functions and other events free of an admission charge and, usually, at a reduced admisssion charge for certain museum activities that are also open to the general public or to non-members on repayment.
- The occasional extension of free access to The Rifles (Berkshire and Wiltshire) Museum and garden to a member's relatives and friends, or in order to attend what are otherwise exclusively Redcoats Society events.
